An End and A Beginning – the end of our January Reset and Recharge

We made it!! Thirty days to Reset and Recharge. How do you feel?

30-compressed

I’ve set some new habits and surely broken some old. The main difference I’ve noticed is a LOT of energy! I’m sleeping better, and needing a bit less sleep, and my moods are much more stable.

I feel lighter and more energetic. The Reset and Recharge reminded me just how many vegetables I should really be eating each day, and to focus on water.

It was a challenge; did you make it to the end? How do you feel?

After a month of clean eating, now it’s time to reintroduce red meat and some foods that weren’t part of the Reset (for me, airpopped popcorn with butter is my love! And I can’t wait to have a bit more yoghurt, I love my dairy). But take it slowly, and pay attention to how your body responds to it. After I finished my first cleanse (a little while ago now) I celebrated with some Ben and Jerry’s choc chip cookie dough ice cream*. Then I fell asleep on the couch, and woke up feeling hungover. Horrible! Now’s the chance, when you’re clean and clear, to see how your body responds to foods that you haven’t eaten for a while. If bread makes you feel bloated, that might be a sign. If ice cream makes you feel hungover, well that’s a sign I wish I didn’t receive! Pay attention, and take it slowly.

So what’s next?

Well, I’ll be publishing a mini version of the Reset (7 days of tips and recipes) that you can download for free from my website. I’ll also be working on a longer 21 day supported version, so keep your eye out for that!

I’ll also continue posting recipes and information, so if there’s anything you’d like to see then please let me know! You can contact me at sam@thehappyeater.com.au

I’m feeling Recharged, and ready to take on 2013 and all the changes it’s bringing! Are you?

*this is no longer a part of my diet. Unfortunately. Except that it makes me feel ill.
